CogniFit's Researcher Platform allows you to add study participants to a group so you can manage them more conveniently.
In addition to the normal CogniFit groups, this platform also has the option of creating a Control Group. The Control Group has the special feature that participants in this group will always train to Level 1 difficulty, so CogniFit will not adapt to their needs.
In this way, the Control Group allows you to control the level of the activities by maintaining it at level 1, while the other participants will be performing the same activities but with actual cognitive training with personally adjusted levels.
You can add your participants to the control group by following a few simple steps:
1) Go to the Participants tab and choose the one you want to add to the control group.
Log into your Cognifit for Researchers account and click on the "Participants" tab (1). Select the participant you want to add to the control group (2) and click on the "Add to a group" button (3).
2) Select an existing group or create a new group.
If you have not yet created a group, you will be given the option to create a new group. On the other hand, if you have already created a group, you can select it here.
3) Give the group a name and choose the "Control" option.
When you create a group, the first thing you have to do is give the group a name and then choose "Group Type". “Normal" will be selected by default, so you will have to change it to "Control". Press the "Save" button to create the group and press it again to add the participant to the new group you just created.
Remember that you can create as many normal groups or control groups as you need, and that you can change the group to which a participant belongs at any time.
