Once health professionals have added a patient into their account, they can activate the patient account on their behalf. Note that patients can also register directly for CogniFit. As a health professional, it will only take you a few clicks to register patients on their behalf. Read this article for a step-by-step tutorial to walk you through the process.
1/ Check that you have assigned the right intervention to the patient.
Log into your health professional account.
Click on the "Patients" tab at the top of your screen.
Click on the patient name in the list. At this stage, the invitation is pending as you need to register the patient (see 4/).
Review the type of intervention.
2/ Verify your patient's email address.
We recommend you copy this email address as you will need to enter the exact same email address when registering the patient for CogniFit.
3/ Log out.
Patients need their own access to CogniFit. Thus you need to sign out from your health professional account to then register the patient for CogniFit.
Simply click on the menu icon on the top-right corner of your screen and choose the option that says "Log out".
4/ From the CogniFit homepage, click the Join Today button in the center of the screen.
5/ Click on the first option.
6/ Confirm your choice.
7/ Enter the patient's name and email address.
The email address must be exactly the same you entered when adding the patient to your account. The email address is the only way to link your patient account with your health professional's account.
8/ Enter a password.
Note that the password must be at least 6 characters long.
9/ Enter the patient's gender and date of birth.
Why does CogniFit ask for personal information?
CogniFit provides you with results that are automatically normed with people the same age range and gender. The scale is from 0-800. 400 is the average score for people the same age group, and any score above 400 is considered above average.
10/ Allow us to share the patient's results with your health professional account.
