by It is free to register for CogniFit which will let you try out limited functions of our brain games. However, you will need to purchase licenses to access necessary cognitive interventions to use with your study participants.
As a researcher we offer you bulk discounts on the licenses you purchase for your study participants to conduct your clinical trial or study. You can calculate the cost of licenses yourself using the online calculator in your account. To do so, follow the instructions in section 1 of this article.
Assessment bateries licenses:
- Single-use: They are valid for a single participant to take one cognitive test. Ex: If you wish a participant to complete 2 assessments, you need to purchase 2 assessment licenses.
- Generic: You do not have to know what type of assessments you will need in the future when purchasing the licenses. You only need to select the type of assessment later, when you assign the test to the participant. That’s the reason, all of the assessments are the same price.
- End date: The license does not expire until the participant takes the assessment!
Attention: A distinction should be made between assessment tasks and assessment batteries. Assessment batteries are composed of a range of assessment activities, and licenses for assessment batteries are paid for. Assessment tasks are free and consist of one activity. Both types of products you can add to your study.
Monthly training licenses:
- End-user based: You assign months of brain training to every participant separately. Ex: If you purchase 12 monthly training licenses for 1 participant, you are still free to assign the months of training as you wish, e.g. 1 participant for 6 months and 2 participants for 3 months.
- Generic: You do not have to know what type of training programs you will need in the future when purchasing the licenses. You only need to select the type of training later, when assigning the participant’s intervention. That’s the reason, all of the training programs are the same price.
- Starting date: Months of training only begin when participants create their accounts. Ex: If you assign 6 months of training to one participant, the first day of the training will start when the participant registers for CogniFit, which may be several months later.
CogniFit is not involved in the economic nature of your relationship with your participants and is not responsible for third-party clients. You may decide to charge licensing costs to your study participants, but this economic and financial relationship is not the responsibility of CogniFit.
