How can my family members sign up for CogniFit?

COGNIFIT FOR FAMILIES

Once the owner of the Family account has added family members to their account, the members will be able to enter and begin their evaluation either directly from the main Family account, or through their own individual account. This decision can be made by the Family account holder at the time of invitation.
 

If the family member wishes to use the main Family account, follow the instructions in section 1.4 of the article “How to add a family member to the platform“. Keep in mind that if this option is selected, the family member will only be able to complete their assigned tasks on a desktop or laptop computer.

 
If the family member wishes to us a mobile device or prefers to use their own individual account, they should read this article to understand the registration process.
 
Attention: family members can activate their account regardless of whether or not they received the invitation email. The activation email may be in the spam or junk folder.
 
Family members can enroll through the CogniFit website using a computer or using a mobile app. If you use the mobile application, go to section 2 of this article.

 
1. If the family member is using the computer

1.1. Register through an invitation from your Family account holder
 
1.1.1 Open the email with the invitation and click the See Recommendations button.

1.1.2 The link will bring you directly to the registration page for Cognifit. Enter the email address and click Next.
 
The email address must be exactly the same as the one added by the family member in charge of the Family account when adding you to the account. The email address is the only way to link the member’s account with the Family account.

1.2. Register from the CogniFit home page
 

1.2.1 To get started, go to the CogniFit home page. Indicate which country or region you are in. The browser will automatically detect your location. To confirm, click the “Continue” button in the blue bar at the top of the screen.

If you want to change country or region, click on the drop-down menu arrow and select the “Other country or region” option. Click the “Continue” button.

On the page that opens, choose a country or region from the list and click on the selected option to access the CogniFit page for your country or region.

Note: If you want to change the platform language, select the desired language from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page or change the language after registration in your profile settings, following the instructions of this article.

Click the Start Now button.

1.2.2 Add your email address and click the Next button.
 
The email address must be exactly the same as the one added by the family member in charge of the Family account when adding you to the account. The email address is the only way to link the member’s account with the Family account.

1.3. Create a password
 
Please note that your password must be at least 6 characters long and is case-sensitive.

Click Continue.
 
1.4. Enter your name, gender, date of birth and click the Continue button.

Attention: If the family member is younger than 16 years old and is going to use their own account, the platform will ask them to give the email address of their parent/guardian when they register for CogniFit. 

Why is CogniFit requesting this personal information?
 
CogniFit provides each user with normalized results that automatically compare them to people of the same age range and gender. The scale is 0-800. 400 is the average score for an individual’s age group, and any result above 400 is considered above average. Read more about the CogniFit scoring system.
 
1.5. Follow the instructions on the platform to validate your account. Click Continue.

1.6. Congratulations, your account is now set up!
 
The first time the family member opens their account, if they are over 16 years old, they will be asked to complete a short initial evaluation.
 
Depending on the type of program that has been assigned by the Family account holder, the family member can click on Assessments or Training on the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

Family members younger than 16 years old will only have access to the programs assigned by the Family account holder.

2. If the family member is using a mobile device

 
2.1 Download or open the CogniFit app
 
Open the email with the invitation on your mobile device and download the application by clicking on the App Store or Google Play icon depending on the device you use:

2.2 Sign up for the application

Once you have downloaded the CogniFit app from the app store and open the app, you will see a welcome screen. Click the “Sign up” button.

2.2.1 Enter the email address, create the password and click on Continue

Attention: 
The email address must be exactly the same as the one added by the family member in charge of the Family account when adding you to the account. The email address is the only way to link the member’s account with the Family account.

The password for the application must be between 8 and 40 characters in length and contain at least one numeric character. To register, the family member can only use the email address that the Family account holder used to invited them.

Fill in the data and click on the “Continue” button.


 2.2.2 Enter your first and last name and click on the “Continue” button.

2.2.3 Enter your date of birth and click the “Continue” button.

Note: Children under the age of 16 can create an account on the CogniFit website with the consent of their parents or caregivers.

2.2.4 Indicate your gender

2.3 Congratulations! Your family member account has been created.


Depending on the program assigned to you by the family account holder (you can check this information with the family account holder), click on the “Assess” or “Train” button. 

In our example, the user has been assigned a General Cognitive Assessment. To open the assessments page click on “Assess” in the menu at the bottom of the screen and on the page that opens select the General Cognitive Assessment.
